7:00pm: Dinner and drinks at Jonah’s Restaurant
You won’t have to go far for dinner tonight. The on-site restaurant at Jonah’s is multi-award-winning and has held a prestigious Chef’s Hat for more than a decade. The dining room has jaw-dropping views over the ocean and serves contemporary Australian cuisine paired with one of the finest wine lists in Australia.
9:00am: Start with breakfast at the Boathouse Palm Beach
All aboard the Boathouse for a tasty breakfast at this waterside café. Try the croissant French toast topped with mascarpone, berries and maple syrup, or the green eggs and ham served on a house-made sourdough muffin. The great location allows you to drink in stunning water views with your meal.
10:30am: Float along Clareville beach with Tony Henry’s Stand Up Paddle
Paddle to paradise on a tour with Northern Beaches local Tony Henry. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you can join in with this accredited SUP school as you paddle along Clareville Beach, near Avalon, and uncover the endless adventures that the water has to offer.
12:00pm: Go for some retail therapy at Avalon
Weekend shopping just got breezier. Spend some time strolling through area, popping into some of the local shops within this friendly community. Step away from the beaches and discover the fashion, homeware, sweet treats and more that encompasses the laid-back beach culture of Avalon.
1:30pm: Lunch at The Newport
Refuel with an endless choice of food options at The Newport. Take in the water view as you browse along numerous food outlets, from burgers at the Shack, Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas created by the pizza master himself, Vincenzo Biodini at Vinnie’s Pizza, and The Seafood Market for a selection of fresh seafood.
4:30pm: Surf and swim at Narrabeen
Ride the iconic waves of Narrabeen, one of Sydney’s most popular beaches. Expanding over three kilometres of sand and renowned for the North Narrabeen break, discover why it’s the home to some of the world’s best surfers. Even if you’re just starting out, Narrabeen is accommodating to all from beach breaks to smaller waves, perfect for learners. You can surf and swim with assurance, knowing there’s four surf lifesaving clubs with qualified, volunteer lifesaver patrols.
7:30pm: Wind down at the Manly Wharf Hotel
Dinner is always better with a view; so, say cheers to dining right on the water. With chill vibes, live music and good ole pub classics from gourmet pizzas to fresh seafood, it’s no surprise the Wharfy is a beloved go-to for locals and visitors. You’re also bound to find the perfect pairing for your meal with their extensive selection of drinks including wines, craft beers and signature cocktails.
9:00am: Breakfast at Fika Swedish Kitchen
Transport to Sweden with breakfast at Sydney’s first Swedish eatery, Fika Swedish Kitchen. Awaken the taste buds with fresh, homemade/baked bread, dips, and sauces. The word fika means ‘taking a break for coffee and a bite to eat’, so this is the perfect place to reenergise and be ready for the day ahead.
11:00am: Take a snorkelling tour with Ecotreasures
You have only touched the surface of the Northern Beaches if you have yet to go snorkelling. Uncover what lies beneath and explore Manly’s underwater world with local experts from Ecotreasures. They’ll guide you through this breathtaking experience of coastal culture and the diverse wildlife of the Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve, where you can spot marine wildlife in their natural habitat.
1:30pm: End with lunch at Manly Skiff Club
Set right on the harbour, the club’s bistro offers an extensive menu so there’s always something for everyone. If you’re feeling hungry, feast on a chilled seafood platter or free-range lamb shoulder. If you’re looking for something light, try the vine tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad or seared tuna tataki salad.
