Thanks to a multi-million-dollar renovation and an interior redesign by Farago Han Studio, the iconic Crown Street pub is now one of the most stylish, tasty eateries in the city. On the bottom floor is the restaurant, helmed by acclaimed chef Jed Gerrard and Gourmet Traveller Best New Talent award winner Jun Hwang, that operates on the premise of affordable luxury. The menu is progressive, creative and based on ethically sourced, Australian produce. Upstairs is the public bar serving drinks based on the expertise of James Audas from Lo-Fi Wines and Michael Chiem of PS40. Then on the top floor, a leafy, sunny rooftop bar that could feel like you’ve flown overseas if it wasn’t for the views of the tree-lined Surry Hills backstreets.
