For excellent tapas-style share plates head to Bar Louise, brought to you by the team behind Sydney hipster hangouts Porteno and Continental Deli.

The original pink exterior of the 1950s building has been retained, as have the standout curved windows that add so much character to the downstairs dining room and bar. They've catered to the crowd, with a pre-show dinner menu available if you're in a rush. If you have more time, order a glass of wine and a gilda (the original pintxos from Spain's Basque Country), then dig into slow-cooked octopus with smoked pimento, honey and sherry glazed lamb with lemon peas and labne, or Jerusalem artichokes dressed up with mushrooms, rosemary and stracciatella
