The collaboration of two families and beer making philosophies, along with a shared love for hospitality brought Wildflower beer and Mountain Culture brewery to one space in a Marrickville warehouse. Part taproom, part eatery, the new space (in the brewing digs of Wildflower) will showcase ten of the best brews from each award winning brewery, plus a few wines and a few creative non-acoholic drinks. The food is simple in production (there’s only a small kitchen to work with) and designed to compliment the beers – you might see a plater of tater tots seasoned with Japanese spice, a terrine made by the pork masters at Porcine or a schnitzel served with Goldstreet cheese.
Wildflower was founded in 2016 by brothers-in-law Topher Boehm and Chris Allen. Since opening, they have been dedicated to making balanced, nuanced and interesting beers that are extremely drinkable. With a twist – all ales are fermented with a diversity of yeasts and bacteria collected from flowers native to New South Wales.
